Can I improve my English language skills by listening to music?

Yes, definitely.  For those students who want to improve their English language skills in IELTS, should listen to English music.  You can download the lyrics and sing along with your favourite singer.  You will not only learn the lines, but also the new vocabulary words as native speakers use numerous lexical resources, linkers and idioms to beautify the songs.  The lyrics are often conversational and an effective tool to learn common expressions. Many English singers like George Michael, Michael Jackson, Bryan Adams have sung magical songs. Repeat your songs, keep listening to them.  Soon, you will start following the language.

Another way of improving your vocabulary is by watching movies.  You can watch any language movie with sub-titles.  Believe me, I have added abundant new words to my language.  If you can understand the fast pace of English movies, it will be a cherry on the cake, an added advantage. For British English, I suggest movies like Notting Hills, Letters to Juliet, The Holiday.  For American Accent, watch Spider Man, The Intern.

Who says learning a language is boring?  Try these new contemporary approaches and you will appreciate my advice.
